Golf Training Equipment – What is the Best Golf Swing Trainer?

There is a huge amount of golf training equipment available on the market now for the enthusiastic golfer. Some have been with us for decades…some use computer, DVD, video and other more modern methods to help you groove a consistent golf swing.

There is a huge amount of golf training equipment available on the market now for the enthusiastic golfer. Some have been with us for decades…some use computer, DVD, video and other more modern methods to help you groove a consistent golf swing.

The most basic forms of golf training equipment include heavily weighted clubs which are designed to build up the key golfing muscles through repetition of the swing with the weighted club.

Vijay Singh is a firm believer in the weighted club as a golf swing trainer and has even lent his name to his own weighted club now to help amateur golfers.

Another simple method of building up the golfing muscles and particularly the forearms and wrists is the use of an impact bag. Years ago this involved the use of used tyres and practicing hitting the club into the tyre to build up the strength in the muscles. This has led to unnecessary injury and a modern version is an impact bag with more give.

The use of DVD, video and now golf swing analysis software has married the benefits of computers and modern technology and is a huge asset to any golf teacher in allowing a frame by frame analysis of the student’s swing.

Then there are various devices to help you train your swing to swing on the correct swing plane and one of the most popular is a metal, tubular device which has a club rigidly fixed in place. When you practice with this device you can only move the club on the correct plane.

Personalize and Custom Fit Your Golf Equipment

Personalize and Custom Fit Your Golf Equipment

A weekend ago, you were invited by friends to play a game of golf. You told them you had never played and so they loaned you a golf bag full of assorted golf clubs. You noticed that some were irons, some were made of wood, and the others as you learned throughout the day were the hybrids.

You were invited out to play again. This time, as grateful as you were for the loaned bag of clubs, you opted to rent your equipment. These clubs seemed to handle differently.

You experienced that not all golf clubs are created equally. It was worthwhile to work with the borrowed and the rented equipment as it helped you to learn differences. And you may want to alternate back and forth and even borrow from other friends or play at other golf courses and try their rental equipment.

Your friends have gotten you hooked on the game of golf and now you are ready to invest in your own golf set. You have already learned about length of shaft and weight as you worked with the various clubs. The more correctly fitting the golf club is to your body type, the more fun you will have playing golf.

When purchasing your irons, etc. it does matter if you are tall or short, man or woman, senior or junior. The shaft length needs to be the correct length for comfort and to have the right flexibility or stiffness that will work for you at your skill level and strength.

Financially, it is more economical to have a fitting then to keep buying club after club until you discover a favorite. When you have the correct golf club that helps you to hit the golf ball squarely for a solid contact; you will find that ball flying farther and straighter. And since the golf club fits you correctly you will find that your consistency and accuracy will be there for you. Your golf score will improve.

The grip is essential and it too will be the right size to fit your hand. The grip does need to be replaced as needed. You do need to feel the shot.

Golf is no different than so many other sports in that technology has changed, improved, or enhanced equipment. As you purchase your equipment have a professional golf person or your golf instructor to help select equipment according to your skill level, strength and problem areas.

Start learning how to have a perfect golf swing. Visit the hobby page of Tricia Deed at http://www.Infotrish.vpweb.com/ and review The GolfSwing Book to improve your golf game.

Through the years I have learned to be a jack-of-all-trades and maybe mastered one. Because my interests are many, diversity has been the road most traveled. Currently my interest is hobbies which I have combined with my internet marketing business.

The Great Golf Swing and The Right Equipment

The Great Golf Swing and The Right Equipment

Article by Dave White

Do you blame your golf mishits and mishaps on your moves and poor golf swing? Well, it doesn’t matter how much time and effort you spend practicing your golf swing, you still won’t achieve your a really great swing if you use a set of poorly suited golf clubs. Here are a few tips to make sure your clubs are the right ones for your golf swing.

1.Just starting out, it can be wiser and cheaper to pick up a set of used clubs. Caution though…inspect the clubheads, shafts and grips for any bad wear or deformity. Also, make sure you get a set that is consistent, that is, the same club make and model for the whole set. The exceptions could be the driver and putter.

2.If you plan to regrip the used clubs you bought: Be cautious. This is because the grips are the only contact points you can access that affects the golf swing and the shot. Before doing the actual regripping, know the core grip of the club and your hands grip size. To determine your core size grip, measure the diameter of the butt of the shaft you’re going to re-grip. The shaft’s diameter should match the grip’s core diameter. In determining your hands grip, the available size grips are regular, mid-size, oversize and jumbo. Use only the best re-gripping materials that will provide optimum performance for your golf clubs.

3.Using ill-fitted clubs can be a real detriment to your effort to get that great golf swing.. A golfer must consider his or her body type in choosing the best-fitting equipment to support and deliver his golf swing efficiently. Selecting the best fitting equipment you can find will reduce the chance of a loose backswing and a badly arced downswing.

4.The type of club shaft you choose, whether new or used, can really affect your golf swing. The most common choices are between steel shaft and graphite composite. It seems most pro prefer the steel shaft while older golfers and amateurs with a short distance swing prefer the snap of graphite. Try to practice at the range or on the course with both before deciding.

While the club is a small part of the overall skill needed to achieve the perfect golf swing, it is a component. As my grandaddy used to say, “It ain’t the fiddle, it’s the fiddler”, implying that the physical ability to swing the club properly is more important than the club. But I have seen many a golfer get off their game because they switched to an ill-fitted club set.

A Golf Swing Trainer – Review of Golf Training Equipment

A Golf Swing Trainer – Review of Golf Training Equipment

Article by Terry Gorry

In this article I look at the many golf swing trainers on the market and assess their value to building a repeating, consistent swing. The goal of a golf swing trainer is to allow the golfer build a repeating swing that will stand up under pressure and improve the consistency in your game as a result.

The goal of a golf swing trainer is to allow the golfer build a repeating swing that will stand up under pressure and improve the consistency in your game as a result.

Golf training equipment comes in all shapes and sizes and one of the most popular is the swing plane trainer. This is essentially a metal frame which describes the arc that your club should travel on in the swing.

The aim is to build up muscle memory of swinging the club on the correct plane in both the back swing and through swing and whilst it is expensive it is a hugely beneficial training aid.

A simpler golf swing trainer is the hinged club..this is a regular club with a hinge in the shaft which will allow you to swing properly if you swing on the correct plane. If you don’t do so then the club shaft will hinge and break.

There are many other golf swing trainers on the market which have incorporated modern technology like golf swing analysis software, DVD and video analysis. But many times the use of the old fashioned impact bag and the weighted club can be just as beneficial.

It is difficult to describe in a short article such as this the myriad golf swing trainers on the market but if you are serious about improving your swing and your scores then you should consider investigating what is available on the market.

For an extensive range of golf training equipment drop by my blog today where I look at the huge range of choices available.

Discount golf equipment – how much should I spend?

Discount golf equipment – how much should I spend?

Article by Chris Needham

Your golf equipment alone will never make you an excellent golf player but you will never play to your potential unless you use the best equipment you can afford. All the best players play with the best golf equipment but what is standard for your needs?

The golf industry has seen the most dramatic changes over the past few years with the development of improved and new equipment.

The current range of choice is phenomenal. There are golf balls for every type of player. The golf clubs are sticks are almost space age in appearance and manufactured for peak performance. Golfing gloves, golf shoes, bags and other golfing apparel are made by placing the meticulous attention to every detail.

It is fair to say that the quality of the golf equipment used can make a difference to your game. If you are playing with a team, part of the impression you have together is the quality of your equipment.

The decision whether to purchase new or previously used golf equipment may be based on a golfer’s financial position, their ability and general aims i.e. casual and occasional player or taking the game seriously. You can think of your position within the above as whether you are willing to spend less than £1000 or more.

If you are able to spend less than £1000 you should look towards buying used golf equipment or to buying from discount golf equipment shops online or off line.

For those with a little extra money to spend, you could do worse than taking some gold lessons from a professional coach. This will stand you in good stead and help to iron out any bad habits you have developed or if you are very new to golf, you could learn the correct ways from the outset. Your swing for example could affect the gold clubs you buy.

Prepare for putting a little extra money towards golf shoes, golf bags or rain protection gear. Read as much as you can about golf equipment and learn for yourself the differences between the products on offer, for example whether steel or graphite rods might be best for you.

Golf Swing Software – Golf Training Equipment and Modern Technology

Golf Swing Software – Golf Training Equipment and Modern Technology

Article by Terry Gorry

Golf swing software is widely available now to help you improve your golf swing. Is it any good? In this article I look at what is available for the ambitious golfer.

The use of golf swing software is increasing because of the onset of advanced technology. The use of the computer makes the analysis of the swing much easier and more accurate.

For many years golf teachers relied on their own natural eye but with the coming together of high speed photography and the use of computer software the actual movement involved in the swing is easy to analyse.

The huge benefit of this is to be able to stop the swing at any point and study the movement and positions of the golfer and the club at any point in the swing and this leads to instant feedback and the opportunity to address problems quickly.

Leading golf teachers such as Rick Smith and David Leadbetter utilise the technology to it’s fullest in their teaching and it can be very instructive to see your swing superimposed on the swing of a top golf professional for analysis purposes.

One of the difficulties when you are learning to swing a golf club correctly is that what you feel you are doing is sometimes completely different to what you are actually doing. This is where the golf swing software is so useful because to be talked through your swing with a professional pointing out your problems on the computer screen can save you an awful lot of time beating balls.

For the amateur golfer it is very helpful to be able to analyse his own swing together with his teacher’s instruction in the comfort of his own home at his computer.
