Easy Golf Swing – Keeping The Golf Swing Simple

Easy Golf Swing – Keeping The Golf Swing Simple

Article by Philip Woodrow

An easy golf swing , or to put it another way, the simple golf swing, is surely the objective of the average club golfer. When you have just started playing game of golf, and have not had much playing experience, you frequently find golfers looking to find an easy golf swing. So what exactly is this easy golf swing system that will make you start playing consistent golf shots?

Well, easy implies straightforward, uncomplicated, so the easy golf swing is just that. There are not lots of rules to learn for each stage of the golf swing. Rather it needs to be smooth and flowing. Unhurried and reliable. This golf swing will not let you down when you are playing under pressure.

Once you learn to swing the club this way, some golfers try to fine tune their golf swing, and in doing so it is invariably their ability to hit consistent golf shots which suffers as a result. And you would be surprised, in some instances, how long it takes to regain that valuable asset called consistency.

There have been examples of many famous golfers over the years, who have tweaked their golf swings, and have subsequently struggled to recapture their form on the golf course afterwards.

What are the characteristics of the the easy golf swing?

The two most important features are that it is both simple and smooth. In short, it must flow. The emphasis is on swing tempo rather than thinking about what is actually happening as you swing the golf club. The best way to appreciate how this feels in reality, is to swing a rope with a weight attached to the end. You can only swing the rope the right way else you will not be able to swing it smoothly, which is the goal of this exercise.

When you have learned to swing the rope smoothly, you can then swing the golf club the same way, and you have the foundation of an easy golf swing .

Golf Swing Lesson – Easy Golf Lessons

Golf Swing Lesson – Easy Golf Lessons

It is bad enough needing a Golf Swing Lesson, but if you cannot hit the golf ball properly, then it must be a golf swing problem. That is the technical term for it. However, you can look really stupid if you do not know how to swing? Your Golf club properly?

It can be hard to figure out what needs to be fixed. The way most Golf experts would tell it, you need to be an astrophysicist to explain a Golf Swing Lesson. It helps to be a technical journalist to write it up? It can be difficult for a newbie to see what is wrong with their swing. So first golf lessons, just check to see you have two shoulders first?

That is usually a good pointer to what the problem could be, especially if you only have one. Next tip; if you have two shoulders then you only have half a problem. More often than not; most people dip the back shoulder on the back swing.

They must be really weird; because I cannot for the life of me, dip my back shoulder on the back swing while I am lifting my club up high above and behind my head? Ah well; some people can do the impossible and wreck their golf swing. That is the main cause of a bad swing, believe me; it can cause more problems than the wife.

Actually the back shoulder dip and the wife have a lot in common? They can both cause your timing to be thrown way off. Both can really mess your game up badly. Back shoulder dip leads to weight shift onto the wrong foot when you swing. Your follow through is poor; actually it sucks. You will also get hand distortion on impact.

No I am not on acid? Hand distortion just means your hands are all over the place. They are not staying straight and lined up with the ball properly. Your club face will not be straight on impact.

You will not hit the ball flush. You might top the ball, slice it, or only partly make contact with it. In any case; your shot will end up all to hell. Hey, you need to fix your golf swing? Oh right? I am supposed to have a great Golf Swing Lesson to help you out. It is an easy fix- that is the good news, so you can stop worrying.

Simple; get a Ben Hogan Video free online at Youtube watch and learn. Then get out on the driving range and practice your butt off. See how simple this Golf Swing Lesson is, I am not going to get into that astrophysicist rap and talk Golf analysis jargon. Man we got the technology of Videos and Dvd’s online it is so cool. Free is good?

Slo mo is a beautiful thing and the good news is the Videos are free. You got choices of Ben Hogan, Tiger Woods or whatever flavor you like? Before long you will hit that ball and make solid contact consistently. That is when it becomes a natural part of your game. You will become a master swinger. Maybe even a perfect swinger.

Are you having fun? I am. Another problem is fast swinging. Swing speed is important but you realistically cannot be fast 100% of the time with every shot. If you hit the ball correctly it will ping away beautifully. There is no perfect swing speed or magic formula. Every golfer differs because of your own particular physicality, height, weight, muscle mass age, stance, etc…

Some pros have been clocked at 160 Mph in their swing speeds. You are not out there to beat speed records. Be prepared to lose a little swing speed for a lot more accuracy and consistency every time. Worrying unduly and agonizing about club speed and too many other things can ruin your game. Relax and you will play more naturally without any added stress.

Do not look to find what you are doing wrong. That is a lost cause and counter productive. Get back to commonsense and basics. Concentrate instead; on a golf lesson that teaches you how to get it right. Get that picture in your mind of Tiger or Ben Hogan in that slow motion golf swing video. Visualize yourself reproducing the same golf mechanics naturally.

I hope you found this golf swing lesson a welcome change from complex technical analysis and information overload.

Improving Golf Swings With Just 3 Easy Hints

Improving Golf Swings With Just 3 Easy Hints

While there are some that joke about golf being “a good walk spoiled” for others it is the game to end all games. Gold is a favorite past time for many all over the world. Despite the fact that it originated in the UK, golf is popular in most if not all countries. This is a sport played by all ages. If you like golfing you are probably constantly looking for ways to improve your swing. Even the most seasoned professional players look to find ways to make their swings better. In this article we will talk about some of the best methods for improving golf swings.

It is patently untrue that you must hit harder when swinging into the wind. One result of hitting hard into the wind is you’ll cause spin and the ball will lift higher. This extra height and spin makes it harder for you to control the ball’s trajectory and its accuracy will be reduced. Instead, move the ball backwards into your stance by a few inches. Then in addition to that adjustment, you want to place your hands a bit forward. Finally, your choice of club; use one that is longer than that which you would normally be using. Do not hit the ball harder, rather hit it just as you would without the wind. When you do this, just watch and see how much more control you have plus better accuracy. When you hit the ball, you want to hit it down and through. You’ll have to follow through to get the club to lift, and that will make the ball lift. The classic mistake that results in top hitting and missed balls is by trying to produce an upswing thinking that will make the ball rise. That is not how it works – never. Hitting with the fabled upswing can produce a hit that rises, but there’s no power and it won’t go far… kinda sucks, really. Also, you risk one of those funny shots when all you get is straight up and down trajectories and who wants that?

For an effective backswing your right hand should be in the hitchhiker positoin. This simply means that your right thumb should be pointed up as if to be hitching a ride when you look back at your hands at waist height. The left hand needs to be in a handshake position during backswing. Straight out with the palm to the right. This will help you improve your golf swing from the backswing all the way through your follow through.

Improving your golf swing is really nothing more than practicing good posture and core balance. These easy techniques help ensure maximum efficiency on the ball when contact is made. Your ball will fly farther and your accuracy will be better. There are alot of people who believe improving your golf swing is hard. This however is a misconception it really only takes alot of practice. Keep dilligently practicing and working hard and you will soon see the fruits of your labor.

Check out The Golf Swing Secret if you are serious about improving your swing. You can see it here.

3 Easy Golf Swing Tips To Shrink Your Handicap Fast

3 Easy Golf Swing Tips To Shrink Your Handicap Fast

Article by Andri Zhou

“Golf is easy,” said Ernest Jones, one of the most influential and respected golf teachers of all time.

If you’re like most golfers, you probably balked at that statement. After all, for average players, golf is anything but easy.

But it CAN be.

These three proven golf swing tips (based on the Ernest Jones Method) will show you a simpler, easier and more effective ways to skyrocket your game and lower your handicap fast.

#1: Use The Positive Approach To Learn The Game

Did you know that the average golf score has not improved over the last 75 years or so? It’s true… despite the advances of instructional medium and equipment technologies, the vast majority of golfers are still dreaming to break 100.

Why is this happening?

Well, according to Ernest Jones, the fundamental reason most golfers are having a hard time improving their skills lies in the way they LEARN the game.

Golfers in general are more keen in finding out what goes wrong in their swing after they hit a series of bad shots, instead of figuring out what they did RIGHT when they hit a shot perfectly.

I know, common wisdom says we need to learn from our mistakes to succeed, but when it comes to golf, the process of accurately identifying your swing flaws… and then eliminating it one-by-one would be too long, arduous, and the results are usually very disappointing.

You’re going to improve your game much faster… with less heartbreak and frustration… if you can forget about your failures and learn from your successes instead. As an old saying goes — “success leaves clues,” you just need to pay more attention to them.

So instead of pulling your hair out in trying to fix your hooks or slices, think of a moment when you hit your very best shots… then work from there. Try to remember — as vividly as possible — the feeling, sensation, and the mindset as you hit a perfect drive. Over time, you’ll be able to repeat your best strokes more consistently.

#2: Focus On The Swinging MOTION Instead Of Positions

Another common, yet fatal mistake almost all golfers make in learning the game… is being too mechanical with their swing.

First of all, a golf swing is not a series of actions or “positions” which you can consciously put together into one seamless movement. Trying to micro-manage every detail (such as arm position, hip turn, weight transfer, etc.) is a surefire recipe for disaster.

Imagine that when you’re swinging the golf club, you’re drawing an imaginary large circle around your body with the clubhead. You know that a circle consisted of 360 degrees, but you’d never draw one by piecing together 360 tiny lines, won’t you? Nope, you’d do it by drawing one line in a smooth, continuous motion.

Perfect positions are the RESULTS of perfect swinging motion, not vice versa. Learn to produce the perfect swinging motion with the clubhead and you’ll automatically do all the things your instructors have always told you to do… without even thinking about them.

#3: How To Learn The Perfect Golf Swing Motion

The first thing you need to do is observe how the best swingers in the game play. Yeah, I know, it’s old… but here’s the twist: do NOT pay any attention whatsoever to their body movements. Instead, watch carefully the motion and rhythm of the CLUBHEAD when they are swung.

It is the motion of the clubhead that you should try to copy from the champs, NOT their physical gaits and movements.

Everybody moves differently. No two players swing the golf club in exactly the same way. However, all good ones basically do the same thing when they’re playing at their best: they swing the clubhead through an arc in a smooth, easy rhythm.

Once you had a basic understanding on how the clubhead should move in a golf swing, it’s time to take it into practice. Remember to pay attention to the clubhead motion and rhythm instead of body movements and positions when you’re practicing.

Your swing is going to get smoother, more consistent, and powerful… when you’re just focused on swinging the clubhead in your own unique way… instead of trying to impersonate other player’s style and quirks.

To summarize, keep everything as simple as possible. Little children can learn to play good golf faster than adults because they don’t clutter their minds with endless do’s and don’ts that bother us so much. When they missed a shot, they’d simply try again without over-analyzing it.

If you can approach the game in a more “child-like” manner, you will learn that golf is actually easy… and a whole lot more enjoyable.

Golf – How to Stop Slicing In a Few Easy Steps

Golf – How to Stop Slicing In a Few Easy Steps

Article by Andrew Strachan

Any golfer will know the feeling as they address the ball, take a smooth back swing, bring the club down with maximum power and send the ball careering on a course that they imagine will see the ball landing squarely in the middle of the fairway about 300 Yds away…….. But then, just as the power fades away from the shot, the ball takes a gradual sedate arc to the right, landing in the deep rough or bunker exactly where you did not want it. This is what it is commonly known as a ‘Slice Shot’,'Slicing the ball’ or an ‘Open Club face’ shot.

What a lot of golfers don’t understand though, is just exactly what slicing the ball involves and how you can correct for it to prevent it from ruining your game.

When you slice the ball whilst taking a stroke, you are doing exactly that. The club face is starting to open or is open when it hits the ball and ‘slices’ the ball as it leaves the club face. The ideal situation is to have the club face square to the ball on impact and any deviation from this will put an unwanted angular spin on the ball. As the initial power of the shot starts to wane, the spin takes precedence and starts to ‘steer’ the ball either left or right.

So, now we know a little about what a ‘Slice’ is, how can we prevent it happening? Well, just follow these few simple tips that will show you how to eradicate it from your game, leaving you those perfect shots off the tee that you have dreamt about.

1) A lot of the problems can stem from your grip. Take a close look at your grip and make sure that it is firm and not too far to the left. A ‘weak position’ is one where the hands are placed on the club too far to the left leaving the club face open. A simple way to make sure you keep your hands to the right more, is to strengthen your grip whilst ensuring that your left hand thumb is positioned just right of center. Simply follow the angle of your left hand with you right hand to get the ideal grip. Now, try experimenting with different positions to see how your shot is affected. A great way to experiment is to keep moving your hand to the right until you start to notice that your are hooking your shot. Then, move your hands back left for the next shot. This will eventually guide you to where your sweet spot is to prevent the slice.

2) Now you have mastered the positioning for your hands, it is essential to get the grip strength correct. Holding the club too tightly will seriously affect the natural rotation of the club when it connects with the ball. Make sure that you remain loose in your shoulders, arms, wrists and hands to give the club freedom to move. Be careful not to have the club fly out of your hands though!

3) Try and flatten your swing plane. You may be approaching the ball at too much of a vertical plane. This can often happen if your clubs are not suited to your height so check that out first. You need to ensure that your swing is approaching the ball at a shallower angle. This provides a natural squaring of the club face which facilitates the correct flight path for the ball.

So, if you want to erradicate that slice shot once and for all, follow the above tips and you will on your way to a great shot everytime.

Perfect Golf Swing Video Youtube- 3 easy tips to correct golf slice

How to correct Golf slice with easy tips. simplegolfswingfix.com 1. Align & Visualize To attract the ball, the first thing you need to have is the fitting image. Start by setting your sights on a spot to the right of your target. This is your starting line. Now, imagine your ball beginning on that line (illustrated in white, above) and curving left, again to the target. Visualizing your shot will ship helpful data to your muscle tissues and help turn that image right into a reality. When establishing for a hook, it’s a good idea to shut your stance a touch, as well. Learn This Easy Secret To A More Powerful Golf Swing

Learn This Easy Secret To A More Powerful Golf Swing

Article by The Golf Swing Genius

Setting up to the golf ball with good golf swing angles and maintaining those angles properly in the golf swing is a big key to successful golf. Many golfers I teach will tend to do some things well in their setup and their golf swings almost automatically maybe without even knowing what exactly they are doing. This may be their natural athletic ability or instincts coming out. Sometimes a golfer will do something that is wrong because it feels right or is comfortable. Having sharp angles with your posture is a critical element to helping a golfer have a more powerful and consistent golf swing and achieve better results.

There are three important angles that should be present in your setup position. The first angle comes from bending your knees. Some golfers bend their knees too much, while others don’t bend them enough. The checkpoint for how much to bend your knees is to bend them so they cover up your shoelaces. When you look down at your feet while in your golf setup position, you shouldn’t see your shoelaces but you will still see your toes if you are doing this correctly. Bending the knees properly will also help to get your weight more forward into the balls of your feet where you will be able to make more balanced swings.

The second angle that will form in your setup comes from bending the hips. This is sometimes a tricky one for amateur or higher handicap golfers to get correct. To bend correctly from your hips, you should basically stick your butt out while keeping your back straight. This forms the angle between your thighs and your torso. Rounding the back is a weak setup position and leads to a weaker swing. Remember sharp angles will produce more power and distance.

Lastly, the third important setup angle is between your forearms and your golf club shaft. The arms will hang down fairly straight in the setup but they must be extended. When you extend your arms in your setup, you want them to be straight but not locked where they would be stiff and tight. So extend your arms down but do not lock your elbows. The hands will rest nicely down and there should be an angle between the club and your arms. Some golfers have trouble getting this setup angle correct. There is an easy way to get this right. When you setup up to the golf ball, take your golf club and extend it straight up. If your hands are in the right position, the butt end of the golf grip should hit right at your belt buckle or belt line. If your hands are too high and you do this drill, the club will hit up higher towards your stomach or chest. And if your hands are too low from bending too much, the angle between your forearm and the club shaft will be too big as well.

Getting these three setup angle will really help improve your golf swing as long as you make your swing and turn while maintaining these angles. Standing up or dipping down in the golf swing is a common problem for some golfers so try and stay in your angles or stay level and the same height throughout your golf swing and you’ll hit the golf ball way more easily and effortlessly while adding extra power and distance.

2 Easy Steps To A Better Golf Swing With The Driver

2 Easy Steps To A Better Golf Swing With The Driver

Article by Lee Masters

So your looking for steps to a better golf swing with the driver? In this article I’m going to give you 2 easy ways to improve your ability to get off the tee more consistently.

Steps to a better golf swing – Easy step # 1- Swing Easier

The first step you will need to take is learn how to swing the driver easier. I don’t know how many times especially on the first tee I see people just get up to their tee shot and just swing as hard as they can at the ball. Golf is a game of opposites. I know it sounds weird but the harder you swing at the ball more times than not the shorter and more crooked it will go.

The key to getting off the tee is to focus on swinging easier to start. If you concentrate on swinging easy, it will revolutionize your ability to position yourself for a good approach shot when you are hitting out of the fairway and not trying to punch out of the trees.

Then once you establish a good tempo throughout your round you can then start to swing a little harder to create more club head speed. But, again if you start out swinging as hard as you can you will not be creating a good tempo in your swing for the rest of the round.

Steps to a better golf swing – Easy step # 2 – Switch to a lower spin golf ball

It seems that in today’s golf world everyone is trying to use a golf ball that will give them the most spin as possible. Well, I’m going to tell you that having to much spin on a golf ball will in fact be much harder for the average golfer to have as much control of were it is going.

I no it sounds crazy but if you use a lower spin golf ball like the Titleist DT Solo, Precept Laddie or Maxfli Noodle your going lessen the spin on the ball causing it to fly much straighter. Just give it a try.

Here is a way for you to test this theory

When you go out to practice take 2 balls with you. High spin ball and a low spin ball. Play 9 holes by yourself to test this. On each tee hit each ball and you will be shockingly surprised that the lower spin ball will go straighter than the low spin ball.

In closing:

I hope you found these 2 easy steps to a better golf swing with the driver helpful. I realize that this all sounds oversimplified, but it’s not. If you are having problems controlling your driver, switch to a low-spin ball, and start swinging easy.

Achieve A Proper Golf Swing In 2 Easy Steps

Achieve A Proper Golf Swing In 2 Easy Steps

It’s not a secret having a proper golf swing will in reality improve your game and decrease scores. But, that’s not the question. The question is how can you achieve a proper golf swing? In this informative article you will learn the secrets to lowering your scores by simply applying the proper golf swing for your game.

A poor golf swing could be the result of developing a poor grip, improper stance and lack of the basics to achieve a proper golf swing.

Proper Golf Grip

Good golfers agree that when they start hitting bad shots most times it boils right down to something so simple as adjusting their grip. Making a slight little tweak with your grip could simply improve your swing and begin hitting the golf ball more consitant and solid.

While focusing on the grip, you ought to follow a few of the basic tips that other golfers follow. The golf club should sit at a right angle as this is crucial for a correct grip. For the right handed golfer, the left index finger should interlock with the right hand pinkie finger so that the hand comfortably fits on the grip. Make sure that it is firm enough to keep proper control.

If you are not using the interlocking grip give it a try. Those with smaller hands will benefit greatly with this particular grip. If you are using the interlocking grip try unlocking and see how that works for you. As I mentioned above in order to achieve a proper golf swing you have to make simple little adjustments to determine what works for you.

Proper Posture &  Ball Position

The posture of the golfer also makes an enormous difference to a proper golf swing. It isn’t difficult to get the proper posture and can be learned within one or two practice sessions.

The feet should be at shoulder width apart for most shots and slightly wider with the driver. You can then bend the hips forward by maintaining the spine angle. The knees will bend slightly and the arms must be hanging down over the ball while still maintaining a comfortable distance.

After you have the correct posture, having the appropriate golf ball position will be the last thing that is important for achieving a proper golf swing. For the irons you want to position the ball in the middle of the stance. While using the driver you will need to have the golf ball positioned towards the front of your stance.

Next time your on the range working on your game simply play around with different ball positions with different clubs. Having the correct ball position and posture will make an enormous difference in achieving a proper golf swing.

In Closing:

If your struggling with achieving a proper golf swing simply get back to the basics and do little tweaks with your girp, posture and ball position. By doing these small little things will greatly improve your swing and utlimatley lower your scores.
