Putting your weight on that leg will allow you to create more power in your swings. If you don’t master putting your weight on that right knee your swing is going to be all over the place (and so will your ball)! Your consistency will also be improved the more you can be steady in your swing. Pretend your right leg is a pillar.

Back to windy conditions – remember to lighten up a little on the swing; and then swing easier. You can produce negative effects on your ball trajectory by hitting too hard when it’s windy. When it’s windy, keep in mind the phrase made famous by Greg Norman – “swing easy into the breezy.” We do understand that it can be intuitive to think you need more power when hitting into the breezy. Remember, there’s all kinds of forces and aerodynamic principles at play – swing easy, golfer… trust us. When you swing easier, you’ll find that your control is much better. So watch that wind and don’t be fooled.

Improving your golf swing is really nothing more than practicing good posture and core balance. Believe it or not these stances and posture tips help make sure you are getting the maximum effect on the ball when your club come into contact with it. This helps improve your accuracy and gets your ball going as far as you wish for it to. Too many people think that improving your golf swing is too difficult. It seems common sensical that when you’re hitting into the wind, well… just hit it harder. It’s all about technique and aerodynamics, and they rule the day – not brute force. When you swing easier, you’ll find that your control is much better. Wind can feel good, sure, but don’t let it take you down the wrong path.

It is patently untrue that you must hit harder when swinging into the wind. One result of hitting hard into the wind is you’ll cause spin and the ball will lift higher. This extra height and spin makes it harder for you to control the ball’s trajectory and its accuracy will be reduced. Instead, move the ball backwards into your stance by a few inches. Then in addition to that adjustment, you want to place your hands a bit forward. Finally, your choice of club; use one that is longer than that which you would normally be using. Do not hit the ball harder, rather hit it just as you would without the wind. When you do this, just watch and see how much more control you have plus better accuracy. When you hit the ball, you want to hit it down and through. You’ll have to follow through to get the club to lift, and that will make the ball lift. The classic mistake that results in top hitting and missed balls is by trying to produce an upswing thinking that will make the ball rise. That is not how it works – never. Hitting with the fabled upswing can produce a hit that rises, but there’s no power and it won’t go far… kinda sucks, really. Also, you risk one of those funny shots when all you get is straight up and down trajectories and who wants that?

For an effective backswing your right hand should be in the hitchhiker positoin. This simply means that your right thumb should be pointed up as if to be hitching a ride when you look back at your hands at waist height. The left hand needs to be in a handshake position during backswing. Straight out with the palm to the right. This will help you improve your golf swing from the backswing all the way through your follow through.

Improving your golf swing is really nothing more than practicing good posture and core balance. These easy techniques help ensure maximum efficiency on the ball when contact is made. Your ball will fly farther and your accuracy will be better. There are alot of people who believe improving your golf swing is hard. Core Flexibility Training Improves Golf Swing Power And Distance

Core flexibility training is critical if you want to improve your golf swing power and driving distance. Your core is the engine to your swing. If your core is inflexible you will not be able to make a full backswing with minimal tension.

Picture your core being the middle of your body. That’s as simple as you can get it. It is mainly your abdominals, but can also include glutes and lower back. This area of your body is the most susceptible to injury.

That’s why the majority of amateur golfers have a low back injury at some point in their golfing career. They have never focused on core flexibility training, as well as core strength training for more power.

To produce more power and distance in your swing does not mean swinging harder with your arms. Haven’t you tried that before? If so, did you hit it farther? I’ll bet not.

Just like hitting a baseball, tennis ball are even throwing the discus in track and field, you use your core for most of your power. You rotate with your core to create torque, then you unleash that stored up energy into the hit, whether it be a baseball, tennis ball or golf ball.

The more efficient you become with using your core, arms, shoulders and hands in a sequenced motion, the added distance will come quite easy. You’ll be shocked at how quickly your driving distance goes up.

Core flexibility training incorporates “rotation”. Golf stretching in this manner warrants the best results in the shortest amount of time!

Every core flexibility stretch you do should involve some form of rotating. This is very important since the golf swing is a rotate (turn) back and a rotate (turn) forward. The more range of motion you can achieve in your core area the more power you will produce.

Here’s a little test you can do while your sitting there reading this article!

Put your arms across your chest, keep your eyes focused straight ahead. Now rotate as far as you can to the right and make a not of how far it is. Did you get to a 90 degree shoulder turn (that’s where you need to be). Then rotate as far as you can to the left. How far did you get.

This will be a “wake-up” call for many of you. If you find you can’t rotate at least 70 degrees of center, you’ll have no chance at maximizing your power and driving distance.

We do this simple core flexibility test seated to remove cheating of the lower body. If you were standing, it would be very easy to rotate your hips and get a bigger shoulder rotation.

Being seated removes this compensation!

A seated rotation is “true” core flexibility and range of motion.

In the first lesson, we focused on the lower part of the body. In the lesson being, we will deepen the role that it plays arms.

Imagine your body as a car engine and the steering wheel arms.

Return BODY = SPEED

Arms = DIRECTIA

Shoulders when they return to the right during the backswing, the arms are raised and when they return hips to left, on the downswing, the arms are pushed down. It’s simple! Even if you run different roles during the swing’s arms and the rest of the body should work in a coordinated manner. There are players who swing sites very slow, as if hit by water, as is the case of Fred Couples, Masters champion in the U.S., and players whose swing is very fast, even violent, such as Mark Calcavecchia or Nick Price, winner of the British Open. Since the arms and body working with the same speed, keeping a correct relationship, is the desired shot.

Regardless of what you see on television are as players, you must find its own speed and pace when you run shot.

1 ExerciseClose your eyes (after you have it made safe crystal vase and you send the dog far enough) and start to swing putter. As a balanced forward and back, like a pendulum, gradually try to increase the speed of the body back to synchronize with the speed of movement of arms. There are many ways to improve golf swing accuracy and etiquette by practicing some simple drills. The best drill to practice to improve golf sing is to stroke the all, rather than hitting it. In other words, you should try to practice swinging towards the target, but letting the ball get in your way. There are many ways that a person can improve golf swing etiquette. All it takes is a little bit of practice.

If you think about hitting the ball too much, often times you will not follow through in the swing, stopping the club once it hits the ball. However, if you let the ball get hit because it was sitting there in the way of your swing, not because you were swinging at it, you are sure to not only improve golf swing accuracy, but you will also be able to improve your overall game. This drill shows why many people have better practice swings than actual swings where a ball is involved. Without a ball it is easier to swing through, yet this is the very motion that is needed when perfecting your swing.

A key in helping to correct this tendency to stop your swing is to learn how to separate the optical eye from the ‘mind’s eye’. The optical eye sees where the ball is sitting, while the mind’s eye sees the ball sailing toward its target. Remember, the ball is not the target, so the key is to avoid being tricked by your optical eye. If you focus on the opposite, you will improve golf swing technique much quicker. That being said, let your mind’s eye swing to your target, which is the fairway or the green. This is not to say that you don’t look at the ball at all, but rather to stress that there is a great difference between looking at the ball and concentrating on it.
